| Why bother? |

Why should I even bother uploading art to FA? No one ever comments or pays any attention to it. I'm lucky to get 1 comment and two favorites, maybe a watch every now and then. I just don't get it. The art I did make myself...I get nothing, the great commissions I get...no one notices.
Why?
I see people doing the exact same thing as me and they get comments and faves out the wazoo. Do I have this big sign that only other people can see that says "Stay Away"? I have given 1062 comments...know how many I've gotten? 362 comments almost all of which are page shouts. Oh sure I've got 71 watchers but no one ever comments it's like they're not watching me at all! I'm sick of being ignored. I've been watching more people trying to get my name out...why are things so unfair? I just want to be known I want to feel like my efforts are worthwhile! |

Recently I've been considering making another FA account. It would only be for my commissioned art and I've seen plenty of other artists do it. *shurgs* but if I did that I'd have to start over from square one. Not that I get that much attention anyway. On the positive side I could finally change my FA name to Tundru which would make me easier to identify to other furs instead of 'wolfguy' |

*sigh* I'm not sure how to feel right now. I got a bunch of new watches and faves on FA but I feel like it's just because people saw my ref sheet and went "zomg wolfcock!" makes me feel like a horndog. :/ I mean Tundru is basically an internet porn star...not really what I wanted.
I dunno, maybe getting aaron to make the ref sheet wasn't the smartest thing. I think I should have just waited till I had enough money and commissioned Kacy. I really want to commission Kacy but that would mean I spent money and wasted someone's time for nothing. Well maybe not, at least I got all the details hammered out. *sigh* I'm really confused. I don't know what to do. |

*sigh* it seems that whenever I want to do something work always has to get in the way. I was all excited for a Christmas dinner in Toronto but can't go because of my units regimental Christmas dinner. Oh well there will always be other furry events.
Odds are I won't be going to AN since I'm working that weekend and I need all the money I can get. I'm still planning to go to AC and Condition Zero Hour next year, maybe Feral if funds allow. I'm in the process of getting a ref sheet done for my character so hopefully once that's done we're making a fursuit from it. ^^ Needless to say I'm excited. Even if I can just make it up to furmeets every now and then, and suit around the city, it should be a lot of fun. I really feel like I'm more a part of the fandom now.
One thing that isn't so good right now is work. Only working two Thursdays a month and one weekend a month due to a 35% budget cut in my unit. It sucks but that's life. At least I have school to keep myself busy with. Never thought the economy would affect me like this. |

Well I had such a fun time at the furmeet last Saturday! Everyone was so nice and I made a lot of new friends. I felt a little out of place when the fursuits started coming out but all in all I thought it was pretty cool. It was well worth the drive. Hopefully there will be more furmeets like this soon. I'm going out with a fur from my area to get materials to start making myself a tail and ears (but my friend is going to help me). With any luck, I'll have a partial fursuit done in time for a con in London next year, or for Anime North.
I finally feel like I'm a part of the fandom, it's great. |

I'm finally done DP1! Just got back yesterday. I'm now a trained private (or as we say in the Armored Core, a Trooper) It feels amazing. I've been in for almost a year and I finally have the Tank and the rank (my units cap badge is a WWI tank) This is just the start of a very interesting career. |

Time for an update:
I got my joining instructions for DP1 last night! w00t! I'm so happy to be on this course (and I'll be able to go away to Mexico once it's done) I don't like how I have to bring almost all of my kit with me but I guess it serves a purpose. I have two weekends of SQ left and then at the end of June it's off to Meaford for a month!
In other news, my new fursona is almost done. Just finishing up the history and he should be on FA by next week. This is great because I finally got paypal so I can commission artists every now and then. I've got some money saved up and I've found a few good artists willing to do cheap commissions so yay! ^^ |

Well I've made my decision. My new fursona is a Dire Wolf! :D Now I just need to hammer out the details on his appearance and I should be good to go. |

Well I've made my decision. I'm changing my fursona. No longer will I be a gray wolf, there's too many in the fandom and I want to be more original, not just another face in the crowd. After doing some research I've narrowed my choices to either a jackal or a Dire Wolf (a wolf that went extinct at the end of the last ice age, according to wikipedia). Personally I'm leaning towards the Dire Wolf.
In other news a friend of mine contacted me out of the blue on msn last night. I was so happy to talk to her again, she lives in VA and I thought she was ignoring me, but as it turns out, she's got a very unstable internet connection. She told me she would like to hang out IRL and I'd love to do that but I don't have the time right now with work. Oh well, maybe next year (or even Augest once I get back from vacation and I'm done work. Who knows?). |

Update time!
School is almost done, I'm finished on the 24th of April (gotta love college) so that means a four month summer vacation. I'll be working though so it's a chance to make a lot of money. So far this semseter has been really easy, it was easier than the first one. I think my GPA is still pretty high and there have been no major problems with my school work.
Well life in the army is still going on. I'm more than halfway done my SQ course, then after that I go away for the summer for a month. At least on that course I'll get 8 hours of sleep since I'll be driving a vehicle.
I've been thinking of changing my fursona. Wolves are so common in the fandom that maybe I should be a bit more unique. Though I'm not to sure what to pick. I was thinking maybe a Hyena. Though I wonder how I would change over my furaffinity account and this journal.I haven't decided on anything yet so for now my fursona is still a wolf, but that may change in the not to distant future. |

I'm finally done Basic training! Now I start SQ this weekend and that sounds like it'll be very interesting. Sure it'll be hard, but it will be more hands on stuff with more weapons and teaching us actual soldier skills. At least now that I have BMQ under my belt I can go out into the field with my unit under supervision. |

It's Christmas in only a few days! Wow where has the year gone? It seems like only yesterday it was January and we were welcoming in 2008. Now it's almost 2009. It's been a good year for me. I started college, got into the army, things are going pretty good right now. Yay for the new year! |

At lest the farmers fields are nice and happy.
